Automated Packaging Line Monitoring System (APMS)
Designed a SCADA application that provides a centralized control and monitoring station for a packaging line. The system, which integrates FIX Dynamics software (form Intellution) and an Allen Bradley PLC, allows the monitoring of all packaging line operations from cleaning to lot close-out activities. Process data is gathered and stored into an SQL database keeping electronic records of all lot events during a configurable time period. Reports are generated for Line cleaning, Setup, Production, and In-process inspection.
APMS also performs downtime and efficiency analysis for each individual machine as well as the package line as an integrated unit.
